ADULT CLASSES (Age 20+)

This beginner-friendly program is designed for adults ages 20+ who are passionate, interested or curious about musical theatre performance. No prior experience in singing, acting or dancing is required, just a willingness to try something new in a fun and engaging group environment. Through weekly classes, participants will learn fundamental skills in singing, acting, and dancing as it relates to performance on stage.

Students in this class will learn:
  • Storytelling and dramatic interpretation
  • Fundamentals of singing and voice projection
  • Fundamentals of dance and choreography
  • Fundamentals of character building and acting
  • Ensemble performance skills, with opportunities for solos
  • Stage presence and confidence

Enrollment requirements

  • Able to communicate and read lyrics and scripts in English
  • Able to follow teacher instructions and give timely responses
  • Able to learn and remember all lyrics, dance movements, scripts
  • Willing to try new things and take on challenges with the teacher's guidance
  • Willing to practice after class regularly at home

What you can expect

  • Solo and ensemble performances of carefully selected musical and popular songs
  • Designed stage blocking with dance movements 
  • Acting through singing to show off individual characteristics
  • Big or small solo parts designed for desired students

END-OF-TERM SHOWCASE

*School uniform is required for new students at a cost of $30 per person.
​*$60 class material fee is included per term
​*Students are invited to participate in a cabaret-style showcase at the end of the term to perform on stage in front of an audience of their friends and family.
A participation fee of $200 is required per person to cover performance costs. ​​​​​
