JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE TROUPE (8Y+)
*Audition Required

This intermediate to advanced level program is for passionate young performers (ages 8+), who are ready to take their musical theatre training to the next level. Through focused instruction in singing, acting, and dancing, students will continue to refine their performance skills in a supportive and challenging environment. As a precursor to full-scale productions, the Junior Troupe will prepare two original short shows each year. These productions will blend existing musical material into a newly crafted narrative. In addition to classroom training, students will gain real-world experience, through a variety of public performances and competitive opportunities.

Students in this class will learn:
  • Storytelling skills through musical theatre repertoire
  • The ability to analyze lyrics, script, and scene context for deeper performance choices
  • Advanced vocal technique and projection
  • Advanced choreography and dance skills
  • Character development and stage acting techniques
  • Advanced ensemble skills, with opportunities for featured solo roles
